My role
In early 2021, I joined a newly formed squad to design Birdie’s first billing product. We created a payroll and invoicing system that simplified the billing process for Care Managers. I led design from initial discovery to launch.

Care agencies relied on outdated, manual systems to calculate pay for carers. Payroll was error-prone, time-consuming, and a major source of frustration. Inaccurate or delayed payments also contributed to high staff turnover, directly impacting the quality and continuity of care.
